Update: I know you're all just dying to hear how my serger is doing I took everything that I could apart, and cleaned it til I could see no more fluff anywhere, vacuumed it, and re-threaded it. It's back to normal and I made a couple of cute baby outfits today which i'll sns when I get batteries for my camera Thanks for your help!!

It has started stitching in a wavy pattern. Like, it will stitch fine for an inch or two, then start to wave so that the lower looper thread shows, then the upper looper thread gets tucked underneath, back and forth. I've re-threaded, fiddled with tensions...is it time for a tune-up? Any ideas?
Hi Steph! I've been doing well. The pregnancy is going well, so much smoother than last time We were offline for about a week doing some renovating around the house, and I've only now got all caught up on SnS's and business stuff. I've got a pile of projects waiting, but my serger isn't cooperating so...
Thanks for asking about me

Reason: typos!
That happened to me once. One of the looper threads were intermittently snagging on something, throwing the tension for a loop. Also happened with a defective cone of maxilock, it had slubs in the thread. HTH!

I've had that happen when the threads get tangled up on each other. For some reason my looper threads, especially wooly nylon, tend to attract each other and tangle up.
Oh, and another thing -- once my upper looper thread was out of just ONE of the thread guides and that threw the whole thing off too. I had vacuumed the fuzzies out and it pulled the thread out of one guide...
