Niri's famous Peasant romper pattern

Niri gave me the ok, so here's a picture of the pattern pieces. Notice that I did add an inch to the length because my kids are tall, LOL.

It calls for 14" of 1/4" elastic for the neck.

so do you just sew up the crotch and then slip it with the legs going through the neckhole?

thanks Niri and thanks JoEllen! Woo hoo!

and Alison, she said in the other thread that the crotch is sewn up and it is put on legs first through the neck hole.

Thanks for the pics. Silly question, can you do a bit more explaining? I don't know how to draft a pattern. Can you also do a sew-along to help clarify? Would it be to hard to size up for a 3yo who wears a 2-3T? Thanks.

love and blessings

One thing since I didn't see this the first time you posted it, but I put snaps in the crotch because I don't like stripping the baby down to change her diaper. I cut a strip of fabric about 2" wide and the length of the crotch area, double it over and then serge it to the leg pieces. Then apply snaps. HTH. I haven't made one of these in a while but I need to pull it back out and make some modifications so it will fit this summer.

Ah I was wrong, sorry! I too haven't made it in a while. I would like to try to modify it for my 3 year old who is potty learning, she can get it on and off easier than pants or a dress.

Thanks again Niri, you ROCK!

And totally, you should sell the pattern!!!!
