I stretch the heck out of it, flip the knife up, and serge it on the shortest stitch length, only one needle. I have no rolled hem ability on my machine, so I don't use that, obviously, though some say you need it. Mine always turn out great. In fact, it's my favorite way to hem! So fast and easy, and very RTW looking.
Awesome!! I have a Babylock Imagine and I think it can do a rolled edge, so I'll look up how to set it for that. Thank you SOOO much!! I'm really bad about doing things by the book - easier to ask a real person who has done it and can explain it in human terms!
I do it exactly as Renee said, except I don't flip up the knife - I'll have to try that and see if it looks any different from what I get w/the knife engaged. Also, I turn the differential feed all the way down. And I agree that it's the fastest easiest way to hem - hence the term "lazy-edge" lol

same machine here
open the front, flip the letter thingie to C
pull the side lever all the way to the bottom
turn your 1234 knob to 0 and make sure it clicks the second sticky outey part of the stitch finger down when you set it to the circled 1 or 2
take out left needle (don't forget to screw the empty screw down or else it falls out... or, um, so I hear...)
test stitch
