Making Bedwetter Pants?

My poor dd has outgrown her "nighttime panties", the elastic is leaving red marks on her legs. I'd like to make some new ones using PUL but my trial pair turned out awful! I can't find a fabric with the right "stretch" that I can sew while sandwiching it with PUL.

Any suggestions, pattern ideas, tips? Thanks for any help.

I used the pattern from Jannel's Puls and really like it. Made some changes for perfect fit, but I think that it is a good pattern. HTH

I had completely forgotten she had a pattern. Thanks!
