Is there a book similar to KwikSew for babies but

with patterns that are not so outdated looking?

I just can't deal with the style But I need easy/simple

What would you recommend? I'd really prefer all in one (book+patterns) rather than a million stray patterns...

TIA!
Ys,
Radhanuga

Ottobre has some great issues with baby stuff, but its not baby specific. I love the Kwik Sew since the basic shapes aren't bad, its just a matter of fun fabric choices and embellishments so they don't look so dopey.

Ottobre is def awesome, but yeah, not baby oriented. Though, once you get a look at the rest of the styles, you will be itching to sew for the olders, too.

You do need a little more than very beginner skills, though. But even then, the www is awesome for teaching you a technique if you don't know it yet. When I started with the European pattern mags, I knew how to read a pattern, and run a machine, and hand sew, and not a whole lot more. That didn't stop me from diving in headfirst, though.
