I'm thinking more along the lines of process, not project, although I do want to transition to all handmade and/or thrifted gifts this year.

Knitting:
Learn to Magic Loop (it look easy enough, I just haven't chosen a project)
Learn to knit socks
Knit a "Bubbles" curtain (from Mason Dixon)
Knit at least one sweater
(I tend to be a "never not knitting" person, so coming up with projects isn't hard)

Sewing:
Carve out regular sewing time, even if it is just once a month for small projects
Back, quilt, and bind the pieced quilt-top I bought at the thrift store almost a year ago
Sew simple muslin curtains for the family room
Declutter my fabric stash, making room for what I really love
Move Singer 201 into the cabinet that the 306K is in
Get rid of the 306 (and maybe the cabinet I don't love)
Part out the non-working Singer 301
Get rid of the Singer 66 (working but I'll never use it)
Decide whether to repair or donate Elna
Fix cord on Singer 221K

Crochet:
Increase crocheting skills
Finish flower scarf
Catch up on scrap blanket

Embroidery:
Work on embroidery skills
Bring embroidery to more projects

General Crafting:
Weave with the boys
Choose one kid-friendly craft each month to do with the boys (I have everything and just need to carve out the time)

Kimberly- You could do socks using magic loop and get both out of the way. You could even do both socks at the same time using magic loop.

meg, please tell me about reusable snack bags and freezer paper stencil shirts, and wallet card pouch. Is the pouch small w/ a zipper or button to hold CCs and the like? (side note, what doll house does sophie have - i think that it is fabulous that you are making rugs, furniture, etc.. and now I am inspired to do the same for the girls when they get their first house)
Here are some freezer paper shirts I did this past summer http://www.amitymama.com/vb/sewing-c...ed-shirts.html They still look like they did when I first did them. I'm really happy that they've held up so well.
I have some scraps of PUL to use for the snack bags. I'll have to hunt down a picture. It's sort of in my head. Basically a ziplock knock off to hold dry snacks.

The wallet is a zippered pouch. I have one that I made from my favorite amy butler fabrics 8 months ago, but I'm sort of sick of it. I never have cash or coins so yea it only holds a debit card, insurance cards and my burt's bees chapstick.

The dollhouse my Dad made for me when I was a child and this Christmas he spiffed it up and gave it to Sophie. I need to furnish it. See the tiny curtain rod? Cute eh? The wood in the window is Atticus's bed. It has plexiglass windows.

IIRC it is a SU 62C. It has 5 or 6 decorative cams. I bought it at a thrift store, and once I figured out that it needed repair I was going to get rid of it and sell the cams, but someone else suggested I have it fixed as it would be good for heirloom stitching. But I have boys ....

You might want to reconsider. I have an elna supermatic (like a grasshopper, but not) and it's a workhorse. I don't know a whole whole lot about them but was able to get mine tuned and lubed and all that for a reasonable price by going to a quilting shop. There was a guy who did contract work through them; so it was cheaper than going through more official channels. That being said my elna is so old most places won't touch it, that is if they haven't hung up on you after hearing what you have . . . I'm guessing the elna people are kind of like bmw and you have to "go to them" to get parts sometimes.

On yahoo there is a group uuuummmmmm elnaheirloomsewingmachines : Elna Heirloom Sewing Machines - A place to talk about Elna Sewing Machines
You could probably find info/sell it there. Hth?

Well me and Misty keep collecting fabric and patterns, we really should sew I spose.
We are planning on making the majority of the girls summer stuff IF I ever get my sewing room unpacked. And that all depends on when my shelves get here, tomorrow would be AWESOME!
We also bought some apron patterns and want to make those.

Well I am still without shelves. The first cabinet I ordered came broken. Returned it. Ordered different shelves from another place, they canceled my order!! I think they just didn't really have them in stock.

So I really don't know what to do at this point.

I don't have a list of projects . My goal for this year is to just do it. Even if the outcome isn't what I wanted.
I would like to silence that nagging ,negative voice in my head that tells me I can't do it.
