What?! You don't have a section in your silverware drawer full of those break apart wooden chopsticks they have at Chinese buffets? I don't know how you live like that
the pencil idea I could do! I think I might actually be able to get out of my houe this morning, and I'm going to try.
I'm so pathetic though.. my skewers are metal, I don't have a manicure set and haven't replaced any of the dowels from my craft stuff since our move. That's a really cool idea about the circs - I'll have to remember that.
You can take dowels and drill holes in the ends of them and use weed eater line to make circs, if that's helpful in any way.
OH I LOVE this idea! I've been wanting to try Mobius knitting but haven't wanted to invest in a circular JIC I don't enjoy it. This however, I can make!
I can see this on the baby in a smooth woolen yarn with a lil edge of something fancy and fuzzy, funfur, or something.
But then I remember winds, and think cabley-lacey open hats = not good for this weather, and then i scroll through and see the pdf for Lyra's Cap (you've seen the golden compass no?) and know that would look really cute on a few kids you know and know it's super easy to make, and then wonder about the forehead coverage the designer is talking about.
So I keep scrolling, and I keep thinking how adorable your oldest would look in a stocking cap (aka santa hat) and how "my boy" would be just so yummy and innocent (*snicker*) in a hat with earlaps. The boy needses the earlaps, it would match his hair in the cutest way (jmo of course!)
the one on Knitting Pattern Central (go to the pattern list then hats then scroll down) that says *new* in front of something santa hat is the one I'm seeing your oldest in, either in a pale ballerina pink or a pale barely there blue, paler than baby blue kwim?
Now that you're lost into the evil that is KPC lmk when you need out, I'll give you a call and you'll have to leave the computer to go to the phone
