These are so that you can wear your 'regular' pants without buttoning them and/or to let you wear your non-maternity shirts and cover your belly/maternity pants panel...
Use a cotton knit fabric.
Fold your fabric so the stretch goes across it, not up and down and cut off the end because we all know what a crappy even cutting job some people do at the store (and I'm guilty of this as well lol)...
Measure up about 14" and mark on both sides and cut it...
Measure around your belly to see how long your strip of fabric needs to be. Remember you want it to be tight, but still have room to grow. Mark and cut it...
Serge the two long sides...
Serge together the two short sides...
Hem one of the long sides. I stretched the fabric a little tiny bit so that my straight stitch wouldn't break when I put it on, a zig zag stitch would be ideal, but I wasn't digging out my other machine...
