At 2:15 I woke up and asked DH to get me a towel because I was pretty sure my water broke. When I tried to put the towel under me the water just gushed! So we came out and setup the pool, I walked around and started felling ctx about every 5 mins, and then when the pool was ready I got in, the water was hot but felt so good. I labored in the water until about 4 am when I realized that I was pushing during some of the ctx. Next thing I know I am full blown pushing, but it always takes me a while to get effective. At about 4:15am I was doing it. I felt his wonderful little head and then he was stuck at the shoulders, I think it was harder to birth his shoulders then his head. He was pink and fussing after I pulled him out of the water. He is perfect. Then I realized the reason he was starting to look blue was because he was cold. So I had DH get him a warm towel out of the dryer, and then he felt better.

All and all from first ctx to birth was 2 hours. Baby is perfect, nurses like an old pro, and very mellow. I'm doing pretty good all the grandparents converged here this morning and I didn't rest like I should have so now I am feeling it, but I'm not enjoying the after pains :ugh:

my MW friend just left we're putting his birth weight down at 8# 10oz, & 21.5" long. She checked him over and gave him her stamp of approval, she said he looks perfect, but hey I already knew that

Thanks for all the well wishes, we are all definatly enjoying the new addition. I have to get better so I can start sewing of a little boy, up until now everything was all gender neutral. Any body have a souce for cute boy knits or have some FS?
