Sew with 1/4" seem alowence. The insturctions for the lap size are given first, and those for the full size follow immediately in ( ). Fold fabric with right sides together. Salveges should be on one side.
Background Fabric
cut 9 (18) strips 1 1/2" wide
First Accent
no cutting in this step
Second Accent
Cut 12 (24) strips 1 1/2" wide
The illistrations for the sewing are on the bottom right of the pic. You need to sew 2(4) of the top one, and 5 (10) of the bottom. Sewn, these strips should measure 3 1/2" wide. If not this size, it will effect quilt later on.
Feel free to email or pm me with any questions. I really apologize for the poor quality of the picture. The scanner was broken, so we had to take pics of the paper and then upload it. I'll try to fix it later. Good luck!

Re: Here's what you've all been waiting for!! Cutting instructions for the MYSTERY QUILT!!
I finally bought my fabrics today
here they are!!! They dont look as pretty on camera as they look on person though. I hope they are contrasting enough though. I'm not good about that.
I just washed the fabrics and made sure I serged the selvages so I wouldnt lose much fabric from fraying. I'm excited!!!!
Re: Here's what you've all been waiting for!! Cutting instructions for the MYSTERY QUILT!!
Okay...............I've tried my hand at quilting, and well......let's just say, it wasn't very good!
My pieces were never *uniform* even though, they were measured the same and sewn the same.
NOW...............can one serge the pieces together? Or does one have to do them on a regular machine OR does one have to do them by hand??? If it's by hand....................count me out!
I'd *really* love to join in this mystery quilt but Idon't want to waste my time if I'm going to have the same outcome as the few that I have tried in the past.
TIA
Peace,

I'm starting kinda late, so please excuse all me questions : ) What does contrast actually mean? Not matching, but not clashing, right?
So, I could use a light baby type green with a baby blue?
Also, I don't understand the strip cutting. Can you show me a pic of what the strips look like after cutting?
Thank you so much!
Kimberly
