Peasant top sns and sewalong with step by step pics! DIALup may take a while to load!
For those of you who need a good hand holding like I sometimes do.
So, first get together your supplies: Pattern, fabric of your choice and some 1/4 in elastic. You'll need 18 inches for the neckline and two 8 inch cuts for the sleeves.
Step1: Cut out your pattern pieces.
Step2: Pin a sleeve to the front piece right side to right side. Serge.
Step3: Do the same for the other sleeve.
Step4: Pin the back piece to one of the sleeves, again right side to right side, Serge.
Step5: Do the same for the other sleeve.
Step6: Serge up the arm and side seam on both sides.
Step7: Serge the hems and the neckline edges.
Step8: Fold the neckline over to make a casing to insert the elastic. Sew. Making sure to leave about an inch opening to thread the elastic through.
Step 9: Thread elastic through, and sew the elastic ends together to make a complete circle.
Step10: Sew the opening where you threaded the elastic through shut.
Step 11: Do steps 8-10 for both arms.
Step 12: Hem! And voila! You now have a cute peasant top.
