Thanks Sarah. My dd and I fought over the one you sent me! LOL Now I can make her one.
Hadyn and I have been doing origami together for about 2 weeks now so I showed her your pictures. She got really excited and said, "Oh great, now you can make me some fabric origami cats and birds!" LOL So, um, got any patterns for those.

Sarah, I made 5 of these yesterday. They were so much fun, I couldn't stop myself! Thank you so much for the sew along. Are you willing to share instructions for the cinch-purse you mentioned above?

When I flip my pouch right side out my interfacing shows what am I doing wrong?
The lower flap needs to be flipped to the front. If that doesn't make sense then if you could post a pic maybe I can describe better according to what your pouch looks like at this step

I am totally willing, just swamped at the moment with an amazing slew of sewing mamas headed to my house. The cinch purse is awesome to make from pretty embellished cloth napkins that can be found at thrift stores- and I don't have any at the moment.
Sorry they are so big I thought I shrank them I'll redo them in a minute. Here's the other side. This is the side I was flipping to the other. There was still about 1.5 inches of interfacing showing is that right.
In the second pic it looks like the flap at the top of the pic is what is supposed to be flipped to the opposite side (side shown in first pic). The finished product has a flap that 'closes' over your kleenes, when the flap is up you will see a 'back pocket' and then a slit in which you can enclose your kleenex.
This is pretty hard to explain so feel free to ask for clarification and I will try to be as clear as possible.
You shouldn't be able to 'see' any interfacing unless you open the kleenex slit and look inside. When you are sewing the side seams and getting everything lined up I make a point of making sure that those two folds are butted up against each other because if they aren't then I know when I flip it there will be a slight gap. As long as they are snug against eachother then you won't see interfacing- especially if the pouch is holding wipes/kleenex.
