Casserole Pan Holder Sew Along

It's not a real sewalong since i'm not actually gonna sew one for you but here is a description.

Materials:
2.25 yards of prequilted (doublesided) fabric makes 3. These were nested a little. Please measure your pattern before buying the prequilted. I serged up the piece and prewashed it.
2 42 inch lengths of ribbon or cord.
More than 3 yards of bias binding
2 buttons

Here is a picture of the blank. I made a pattern with a square that is 23". Then I took a tupperware top with diameter of 5 inches. this will make your blank larger than 23". Put this at the corners and make a pattern that looks like this blank:

Next BIND THE ENTIRE BLANK! I am not actually doing this b/c I don't have the binding or the time. But Bind it with bias binding.

Then fold down the corners and pin. Your blank will look like this (except the edges will be bound!):

Next sew down the circular corners. Your stitching will look like a half circle. You will leave open a 1.5" casing for the drawstring. The stitching will cross the circle where the pen is pictured and then sew along the stitching of the binding (that is the arc) to create a stitching that is a half circle:

Cut out your handles. 2.75" x 6.75" with curves. I serged this as binding was a PITB. wooly nylon and stitches very close together to keep from ravelling. Add button holes. Then sew the handles onto opposite corners.

Thread the 2 ribbons or cord and tie. I seal off the ends by lighting them with fire to melt the ends (this works on poly ribobns and cord only!).

Here is the finished item:
