Question Parental control software? What do you use or recommend?

My kids are getting up there in age, and we want to be able to protect them when they are on the internet. Right now we're using the Content Advisor that comes with Internet Explorer. While it works for keeping the kids away from most stuff, the constant typing of the password in, when they want to go somewhere they haven't been to before, is a pain. Also there are tons of windows that constantly have to be closed, in regards to advertisements and pop-up windows (they have to close the white screen for every ad, and the pop-up for the Content advisor asking for a password for each of those ads as well as any ads that are built into the webpage). When I'm here at Amitys, I have to close out 2 Content Advisor pop-ups every time I click to read a post from ads built into the webpage. We can't keep a pop-up blocker on because some of the kid's games actually pop up in a seperate window.
What are you guys using?

we use hoopah... I think it's hoopah.com? each kid has their own account, they click on their little icon.. a bunch of stuff is preloaded, you can add to it.. and it's done by age. Can't get out of hoopah without putting in the password, but they don't need it to navigate within it. You can download a free trial. Lindsey's 5, Josh will be 4 next week and they *love* it. It was recommended on my homeschooling group.

I just posted about this in another thread. We were used to the parental controls built into AOL and I want to find something but don't know where to look. I'll look at hoopa, sounds like a good place to start anyway.

I'm installing this one today, and it's free. I'll let you know what I think of it in a few days. LOL. K9 Web Protection - Free Internet Filter and Parental Control Software
