Is there a free picture changing program?

I have a black and white word I need to change.

It is white writting on a black background.

I need to make the white writting black, and get rid of the black background.

Trying to find something on downloads.com ... but not sure what I'm looking for to do the search...

Thanks!

I just did an experiment, and it worked for me. I created an image like you described, with white writing on a black background. Then I opened the image in my default picture program, went to effects, and selected "negative", and it made the black background white, and the writing black.

If you have a picture program that has that effect, I think you can just do that instead of downloading a whole new program. HTH!

Do you need the background to be white or transparent?

If white is OK you may be able to do it in MS Paint or something similar. Or try the negative thing. If you need help you can e-mail it to me at michelejo73@cox.net. I use Photoshop and can do pretty much anything.

oh it does need to be transparent lol

I found another picture, with black writting, white background, but the printer prints the white ykwim hehe I was thinking it would just do the black.

I have MGI PhotoSuite .... looks like all I can do is crop, rotate, reduce red eye, or add effects.

I down loaded something. Where I thought LOL I'd be able to use the paint bucket, to switch the colors. But the white writting isn't solid, so it goes through and doesn't look smooth. ykwim

Was the picture they sent me to use ... but then I found it online looking for free pictures I could use instead. So now I'm trying to figure out if its free to use, or someones personal thing ykwim

Great! I used the Microsoft Photo Editor, used the "Effects" menu and chose "negative", and then "Tools" - "set transparent color" and chose the white. Just in case you need to do it again.
