Computer mamas?

My keyboard is acting up. It only does this on certain sites. On AW, I can't use the backspace or trhe delete key (hence the typops as I'm too lazy to highlite and space back over the errors). On onther sites, my number pad is useless. I've tried swapping keyboards from the othger computer but it does the sme thing. I'm not sure what's going on. does anyone have any ideas? It's really annoying. I log into my banking site or any other site that needs #'s for log in information. I'm also tired of not being able to backspace or just hit the delete key. Oh and the "enter" return key doesn't work. I'm noticing that this is only online. If I open notepad or outlook, it all works fine. Please help

Is it possible that you have a virus? I know I had a similar problem and it was because of a virus.

It does sound like it could be spyware or a virus.

This is the virus scan I use in case you don't have one. It's free

http://www.avast.com/

and I use this to scan for spyware

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

This site has lists of programs that are running in the background (the ones that come up when you hit control/alt/delete) It can help you figure out if something is running that shouldn't be running.

http://www.answersthatwork.com/Taskl...s/tasklist.htm

I hope you can figure it out. It sounds aggravating.

well I've done all that and nothing worked. It's still screwy. No virus and no spyware so I have no idea what's wrong with it. Thanks for the help ladies!

Unfortunately, from what I have heard, if you do not have virus or spywear installed on your computer as a preventitive measure, the new virus or spyware can miss it alltogether. Can you re-format your computer or do you have too much on it to do that? When I had the problem, fortunately we don't have anything of importance on our computer so I was able to just use the reboot disk, but if you have lots of info you might need to take it to a pro.

Maybe you could try unistalling and then reinstalling the keyboard drivers ? I would try that before reformatting.

I had a similar (although entirely different LOL) problem last year with my mouse. It would just totally spaz out. I posted a thread similar to yours and got the same responses. LOL But it wasn't a virus or spyware. It was a bad driver on my mouse. I got a new mouse and installed the new software and the problem was gone instantaniously and never returned.
