What am I doing wrong trying to use sweater shaver...

I knit a great hoodie sweater, my first wool sweater for ME ever. I knit it last year and I totally love it, out of malabrigo (handpaintedyarn.com stuff) it's merino single ply so it pilled like crazy monkey! I tried to use a sweater shaver on it today and it accomplished NOTHING. I am so disappointed- is there a good brand of sweater shaver out there? This one just did nothing to the sweater at all. It's a windmere brand.

Hi Jo,
I love the De-fuzz it sweater comb. Here's a link:
http://www.denverfabrics.com/Merchan...oduct_Count=22

Works so much better than those battery things. I've used it on everything from sweather to flannel, and it's great. Hey, and it's only $2.40!!
I found mine at a local sewing shop.

Take care,
Karen

excellent! I had never tried one of those, but I know I can find one locally so that is great. Plus I don't have to buy it batteries! thankyou Karen!
