March of the Penquin Mittens

This movie is one of my boys favorite movies. They needed new mittens, I saw this idea on the internet. Add them all up and this is what I get.

I have a hard time knitting/crocheting for my kids because what ever I do I have to do doubles of!

I ended up using my own pattern. They are long- they go up to the boys elbows. But they like them and will keep them warm. *IF* we ever get cold weather here in Oklahoma. Today it was in the 70's.

Thanks for looking!

Tawnya

Isn't the movie amazing! The sacrifices these penguins make for their young! Some human parents don't even do that much for thier own offspring!

My boys are typical boys and for some reason they love the part where the mommy penguin gets "smacked" by the sea lion. I don't think they totally relize what happens in that part but they will call me from the other room to come and watch it? Crazy boys!

But yes, they do like their new mittens.

Those are really cute!

I started a pair of mittens for my DD, but then the weather got warm again and I quit. I'm in OK too and it is really hard to think about mittens with weather like this, LOL.

Those are groovy mittens! DD cries too much when we try to watch March of the Penguins, any show with separation anxiety of any sort is out of the question for her .

Those mittends are so adorable! They look so cozy and warm. We loved March of the Penguins so much that we gave a copy to one of our friends for Christmas, and she and her dh loved it, too!
