Talking My 4 vacation scarves

Started this one the night before we left on the 20th, and finished it on the 23rd. It was for me, but turned out wider then I wanted. Mark suggested I gift it to his friend we were about to go visit, so I did. Very hard yarn to work with, nice and soft and fuzzy, but the inner part was basically string and had no give:

While I was making the above scarf, my 6 y/o niece requested a scarf for herself. I was going to use a yarn that I had used for my girls, but it turned out my niece's mother had bought some yarn to give to my grandmother-in-law, to crochet a scarf, but my GIL only used one kind of yarn and didn't want to use this yarn, so I used it instead. It was soft and pefect. My niece *loved* it. I started it on the 23rd and finished it the morning of the 25th.

Then I finally started one for me on the 25th. I had gotten the yarn at Michaels with (2) 40% off coupons that were given to me. The yarn is poly/nylon, but feels like chenille, it is incredibly soft. I love working with it, a totally easy knit, only 10 stitches wide for the scarf. I needed 1.5 balls. --- However, as I got to the end, and I was about to visit my parents, I decided to gift it to my Momma. I ran out and got Micheal's last ball of the stuff so I could still make myself one. I finished my Mom's on the 27th, and started mine that evening, finished it on the plane yesterday afternoon on the 31st. I have already started another one, LOL! My mom's and mine both look like this:

I got my Stitch N ***** book in the mail while I was gone and am enjoying reading it. I look forward this month to knitting something besides scarves. However, they were easy to do, relaxing and helped pass lulls of time on my trip. Like in traffic.

Those are gorgeous! You've sure been busy, LOL. Your niece is adorable and looks so pleased with her scarf!
