My new hat (K&S)...

I finally made myself a hat so my head will be warm when I play with my kiddos. It is the only hat I have.

The main color of the hat is from Peace Fleece (the color is Atlantis something, LOL!) and the other colors are all either Harrisville Tweed or just plain Harrisville yarn.

I got the pattern from an older Reynolds "Lopi" pattern book. The top of the hat was too tall initially so I ripped out all the decreases and then some. Then I did the decreasing exactly as the pattern said, LOL! I've probably made 25 ear flap hats in the last 15 years and never followed a pattern until this one...and I resisted it.

Anyway, here is it. Wait, do you think I should put a tassel on the top? I don't think I've ever made an earflap hat without putting a tassel on. I've only made children's earflap hats prior to this, though. Would you put a tassel on or not?

That's super cute!!! I love the colors.

I wouldn't add a tassel. I thinks it's really cute the way it is.

That is so cute! I really love earflap hats. I made one for dd and didn't put a tassel on the top, and I love it. I think yours looks great the way it is!
