I'm so excited!!!

Today my good friend and I are taking a knitting class. We are going to learn how to knit socks. We have been planning this day for about 6 weeks cuz we both have very busy schedules. I just can't wait!!!

I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh, how exciting!! There's a local yarn shop here that offers knitting classes, and I really want to go (but I don't know how well my nursing baby would do). Let us know how it goes!

I had no idea knitting socks would be like this!!!

I have 5, yes-count them, 5 needles going at once.

I was so intimadated. but, I finally figured them out. Sometimes I have a rhythm, sometimes not. I have about 5 inches of my first sock done. The teacher walked me through the heel and toe part. I think I can manage.

I feel so bad for my friend who went with me. I thought she knew a little more about knitting than she did. She didn't even know how to purl. But she plugged along and figured it out.

I think it may have been better to start with a hat class. But, at least now, most other things will seem easy.
