Talking A Scarf for Miss E.

Started on this Saturday and worked on it quite a bit of the afternoon today. One nice thing about doing the same stitch is it becomes pretty mindless after awhile and I can do it while watching Little House on the Prarie or between turns during the family game, or whatever.

This was one skien/ball (111yds) of Yarn Bee's Italia in Genoan. It is 50% acrylic, 50% polyamide (whatever that is) Erica picked it out. It is actually super soft. She loves it, loves it very much. I will be making one for Alison next, she picked out similiar yarn. I think I will bring the stitch count down from 20 to 15 to make it slightly less wide and longer.

Oh and these are all her fav colours: pink, green, and yellow.

Thanks for looking.

I just ordered a learn to knit kit from Theresa the other day, I can't wait to learn!

So, where do you buy yarn like that? I would love a verigated (is that the word?) scarf with different colors.

Lots of places to get yarn. Little Turtle Knits, as you know. knitpicks.com. I get some from Hobby Lobby, ACMoore, Michaels and trades here.

Great scarf. I have had to stop letting the girls pick the yarn and only pick the color. I can't stand knitting with anything but natural yarns. Acrylic squeaks too much on my needles. (Yes, I have a lot of sensory issues, where do you think my girls get them? My socks are inside out, none of my clothes have tags. What about it. )

I got that yarn at Hobby Lobby, and normally, I am all about natural fibers, but somehow when my girls are involved, I try to let them have some say so they will like what I make. This yarn was soft. I ended up buying some for me too, something called Frosting. It was immensely fluffy and sparkly and pretty.

That is really cute! DD likes that yarn bee fluffy stuff, too. I'm going to let her pick out some for a scarf, too. I like how the pattern worked out, too. Very cool!
