Short rows

How do I do them? I googled the phrase and didn't come up with anything helpful. I need pictures to show me how to do it or really well written (ie. wordy) instructions on how to do it.

Erin

PS - I want to try the curly purly soaker.

there is a tips and techniques forum. I would be willing to bet there are very wordy instructions, possibly with pictures or a video!

i just learned how to do this thru the loop-d-loop book by teva durham i checked out thru interlibrary loan. i'm making the corkscrew scarf project in the book, which is just wedge after wedge of gradually descreasing short rows. there's a really clear, succinct description of how to do it in the technical tip section of the book. if i have time, i'll type it in, or you could just find the book at a bookstore or thru interlibrary loan. althouh that seems really like a lot of effort, when there's probably a description somewhere on the net... ok, i'm going to stop rambling. follow the previous poster's idea!!!

There is a short row hat at knitty.com. That is how I learned. Each row is a different color so it is easy to see. I think it is Tachus or something like that for the name.
