Looking for a new home: 2 cones of cotton chenille yarn....

I have 2 huge cones (each weighs over a lb.) of bulky weight navy 100% cotton chenille yarn.
$13ppd each or $24ppd for both

Would this make good sweaters? Could I get two girls sweaters out of it? My girls have to wear navy sweaters to school. I am interested but let me look at a couple of patterns and see if this is enough to do two. Do you know how many yards? TIA.

I think it would make great sweaters. I made a hat with it in a different color and it is soft and comfy. The inside of the cone says "ypp 550" which I am guessing is yards per pound. It is a bulky weight so I think there is plenty for 2 sweaters but I haven't ever knit a sweater and don't have a lot of knitting experience. But just holding the 2 comes it seems like 2 sweaters have got to weigh less. LOL

I am hunting a pattern. I am interested but if you have someone that definately wants them, don't hold them for me. I have not knit a sweater either but I hate the acrylic ones they sell at school for the girls. I would love them to have something more natural. And to have knit it myself would be great. But, I can't find a pattern for bulky yarn in their sizes.

did you look through the patterns at http://www.lionbrand.com ? most of their patterns seem pretty easy (coming fron someone who just finished her first sweater and is working on a second...both with patterns from lionbrand.com)
