stitch into coils for coasters, doll house rugs, etc
keep adding on to them and make a big coil for a kitchen sink rug or little bedroom throw rug. if you use wool you can felt the rugs to make them thick and durable.

they can be purse handles for a little knitted bag. how about braiding 3 together to make them thicker and they can be straps for a knitted backpack?

felt a shorter wool one and attach the 2 ends w/ a bit of elastic to make a headband. you can decorate it by adding on some needle felted flowers, butterflies, dragonflies etc...

I saw a bunch braided into a really nice scarf in a knitting mag recently.
