Slippers pattern for kids?

I want to get daring and make something other than boring scarves. I thought slippers would be nice for ds and my niece, but I don't know where to look for patterns. Also, what kind of yarn should I use to make them with? Thanks!

my favorite is the felted moc by LTK....it knits up pretty quickly and the felting just makes it a nice warm slipper. I gifted a few of these this past holiday.

Maribel,
Did you put anything on the bottom to make them non skid?
What yarn did you use?

I've used Cascade Wool yarn or Fisherman's Wool. For little baby booties I've done I don't use anything, but for toddlers and up I use puffy paint at the bottom to stop them from skidding.

I really want to modify the pattern to exclude the bottom, felt and then hand sew some suede to replace the bottom.....someday

I really really like the Fiber Trends felted moc! They are awesome, fit great! You need to use wool for them, my favorites are Cascade 220, and Paton's Classic Merino/

I like that pattern too....It was in the book Felted Knits I've been eyeing for a while....are you referring to the clog looking one?
