Talking K-n-f-s : My first knit felt hat

Using up some skein ends I have from various projects...

I made myself a felted hat! As a rule I don't like hats on me, but I am pretty pleased with this one, so maybe I will actually wear it out! maybe...

I am not wearing it in the pic because my hair is desperately dirty and messy (been on bed rest after my surgery so my grooming is not so wonderful )

I love those colors together. The bottom is really neat. Did you use a pattern or how did you do it?

The colors you chose are just fabulous. They have such a great glow to them. I love love love this hat. I might have to try to find some colors like this for my next project for me.

I love the colors. The picture doesn't even do it justice. The purple is the same Cascade Quatro that I made my dd's sweater with. The tan is the color I made the 'crust' when making Lissa's awesome knit food for yule gifts this year! (and is the main color in a couple slices of whole wheat / rye that I did )

I used this pattern : http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kmo-feltedHat.html

The cascade felted so much that you can't really see the lace pattern on the brim, but I really like the shape. My dd (age 3) said it was my crown. Even dh said it was my princess hat.
