Only a year in the making, lol! I had the hat itself finished in a couple days last fall, but didn't get around to the ties, and wasn't sure how to finish off the ends. I finally wove them in today, but I'm sure I didn't do it right, I hope it doesn't fall apart. The yarn is Lamb's Pride super wash or something like that. It has really pretty subtle gradations in the color that don't show in the pic.
Anyway, I got inspired to finish it since it's on 50 degrees out here today!

Awesome job mama!! It will most likely be a year before I will be able to post my first KnS. DD is not willing to let mommy get past learning how to knit/purl at the moment (I'm learning from a book).

It turned out great! Don't worry about the ends. There are lots of different ways to weave them in, but the differences are more appearance than durability.

Thanks guys. Lydia loves it. If you can't tell, I couldn't stop knitting, so it's a little tall, and she likes to pull it down over her face and play peek a boo.
The pattern was the free snowflake hat from Theresa at Little Turtle.
