I'm doing boring stuff right now just trying to get through all my stash LOL Made the last few days:
dozens of dishcloths/wascloths, a couple scarves for my 2 youngest dds made from some fun yarn, a stuffed chick (okay, its supposed to be a duck, but the kids & I agreed its a chick LOL when I asked dh if he knew what it was he said "of course I do! its obvious its a chicken!" & pointed out the reasons why trying to impress me that he had so *obviously* guessed right. not.), a chenille throw (love this - its colorgrown organic brown chenille. simple but Its pretty). More washcloths today, need inspiration for what else I will make!
A boring baby sweater in icky yellow acrylic. I loved the shade of yellow, but I'm remembering all the reasons I don't like acrylic. It's the garter stitch sweater from Melanie Falick's Knitting for Baby.
I have yarn on hand for the Sophie bag at Magknits and I want to start it once I finish the dull sweater, and Owen needs another soaker (probably the LTK pattern with some patternwork added).

Michelle...and yes, i really am too damn lazy to put a sig file up.
I'm working on a pair of longies in this really awsome hand dyed merino with very subtle but pretty color variations. I think it's the yummiest yarn I've ever had the pleasure to work with.
I also have the knitty haiku sweater going, though it is only about 10% done -- so I am still in that danger zone where it may get scrapped. Maybe I'll put a couple of rows on it today. It's a solid navy, which I think is the problem. I wanted to make milo a solid colored sweater because most of his long sleeved shirts are not solid, so I wouldn't want to put a variegated sweater over them, yk? But gosh is it ever boring. lol
Jayne - a little OT.... I looked at the links in your sig & was wondering about those dipes - is that organic brown french terry on them? If so.... curious if you know Merri (I think I spelled her name right LOL) - I had some colorgrown brown dipes & she had me score some of the fabric for her & that pic looks like the same fabric LOL
Since you are in San Diego as well I have to ask!
Love the soakers!
And I cant believe how many people are making ponchos! I was gonna make one soon too! LOL!
No, I wish it were! That sounds so luscious. lol But I'm not ready to cut and sew something that nice. The lighter colored fabric is hemp french terry and the darker is camel sherpa. They're both pretty yummy, too, though.
Are you in san diego? If you are, you should check out the "finding your tribe" sd thread at mothering. We've just started meeting on fridays in grossmont if you're anywhere near there...
eta: I just looked back at your sig pic and I remember that I knew you were here, but I don't remember how. I have this idea that you're up north on the coast, but that may be only because I saw your dd's outfit in the magical child store in encinitas -- and thought of you.
Knitting a poncho for dd for her 9th birthday...she designed this poncho, I'm knitting it. So far I've used hot pink, lime green, and now using bright blue.
I need something tiny to carry around places (btw, you'd think people at the public pool here never saw someone knit a sock before). I'm thinking about starting the crochet boxes from Simple Crochet that are made out of kitchen twine.

Yes, we are in North County. The outfit *is* from Magical Child The owner is a friend & my dh cringes when I tell him I want to go shopping there. Have a hard time controlling myself. LOL
Too funny about mc. My dh and I went there once (it's a 45 min drive, or else I'd be in trouble) and spent way too much money. She's got some really beautiful stuff. I have a fantasy of creating some kid's item -- knit or crochet -- that I could get her to sell, and now I have a connection. If I were only rich I'd totally outfit milo from that place. Your friend must love her work.
A purple striped hooded tunic for dd (to coordinate w/ the green one I finished earlier this summer) and a seed stitch scarf out of Crystal Palace Labrador for my girlfriend in Ohio It's not cold enough here to have a scarf that warm and fuzzy.
