Crochet & Show -- Funky Fuzzy Flip Flops

These were so easy -- 2 strands of Lion Brand Fun Fur in single crochet. Took about 20 minutes to complete the pair.

Those look great. I saw that pattern on the lion brand website, but wasn't brave enough to try it...I'm not really a froo froo type of gal - but they are cool!

I found fun fur a few weeks ago and I have been teaching myself to crochet again (learned years ago) using it. So far I have made hair scrunchies, some thin scarfs and loopy boas using it. The flip flops are great.

I picked up some flip flops for a song this weekend for my mom, her sister & their friend who go to florida every fall. Guess what's going to be waiting for them...LOL I'm going to make a couple extra to put in the gift closet. Now, I can't wait for our household goods to get here with my yarn & crochet hooks!!!!

Wow these are so cute! What a great idea. How about crocheting flowers, butterfliest, etc as well?

You read my mind, knittingmomma. I've been working on crocheted flowers the last few days!

I need to grab several pairs on clearance this year to do for next summer...I wonder if they'd go over well as gifts at Christmas for in-house wear?

So far I've been practicing just with some wool yarn I had around. I felted them so they are more appropriate for a pin. I think I'll make some with thread crochet for to put on flip-flops. Here's a pic. of the felted ones. When I get a finished thread one I'll post a pic. along with my instructions for making it.

The flowers are wonderful. I'm normally a knitter, but when you post instructions, I think I'll be digging out a crochet hook
