can you make my family matching striped socks?

Can any of you knitting-mamas help me with something?

Emma is really into the book Welcome With Love, about a homebirth. (We are planning a homebirth for September.) In the book, there are striped socks that the mommy and baby (and maybe others wear). Emma wants us each to wear matching socks when John is born.

I have looked around and can't find matching striped socks for newborn, toddler, mommy and daddy.

Is this something that someone could do???

Thanks so much!!!

Sadly (in that amusing kind of way)

I have a pattern for that!

It's an inside joke between my dh and I and a few of my friends. I'm always saying it, I see something and say "i have a pattern for that"

What kind of yarn are you thinking? And, what style of sock? And, do you mean stripey like the yarn changes colors, or actual stripes made from many skeins?

Umm... I have no clue what those questions even mean!!!

Can you email me at FamilyMoses@netzero.net and teach me more about it?

Do you have an idea about cost?

Here's a picture of the socks I have in mind. This is from the book that I'm talking about (Welcome with Love).

I'm really bad with remembering to email people (blush) So I'm going to be bad and reply here

The socks in your picture were made my having more than one skein of yarn and changing what color you're knitting with every so many rows. A yarn that is variagated or already more than one color would look kind of stripy with out having to change the yarn.

Were you wanting cotton socks or wool? Wool blend? etc.

Pricing is my downfall. I'm bad at it, which is why I really need my friend who's helping me with the business (the things I knit already). She has more experience in some areas in which I'm lacking.

I'll pm you and we can work something out.

I sure hope one of you posts a pic when they're done. What a sweet idea!
