I just came home from maine on Monday but was super busy (my sister is leaving her husband and my Poppa is in the hospital with pneumonia) and stressed. I was soooo close to calling you. Definitely the next time I am in town I'll let you know! I got some roving from Halcyon and some new needles and felt guilty for being so close.
Are you going to the parade in Bath? My Mom won an auction at the middle school for a ride on the fire engine during the parade and gave it to my nephew for Christmas. This will be the first year I'm not in Maine for Heritage Days and I am extremely upset over it so I will have to live through others.
I suppose I should also post that I am in CT and I can think a few others who are in CT (Debrond, Kimmyboo, Bonnie), MA (Becky) and RI (Stacey) as well. We need a get together!

Sigh. I will not be at Heritage days either. We are going up to Southwest Harbour and Bar Harbour for the 4th. (My Mother's cok-a-mamie scheme. LOL) I haven't missed the paradw in YEARS. I am sure that they wil have fun stuff to do on Mt Desert too, but....well~ you know!
Did you go check out the Deli? It is now a place called Solo Bistro Bistro. Dh and I went in and had lunch the other week. It was pretty good. Not the Deli~ but at least we can still go in and eat there!
No, no deli for me. i had kids and my cousin with and was pretty booked with visiting family. I even missed seeing my friend who came home from Germany and she will kill me when she finds out I was actually IN Maine and Bath to boot.
I went to visit my friend in Warren recently. (Our 6th babies are 2 weeks apart). I was told there was a sign Halcyon when you are near the bridge, but I must have missed it. Not that I have money for that anyway.
I am in Limerick which is not near anything. Well we did see a deer today.
I only go to Portland for the doctors. ENT on July 13th. We don't ususally head any further north then that.
Where in CT are you? We are in North Jersey. We are planning on going to Mystic for a couple days this summer. How far is that from you?
I am about 20 minutes from Mystic! A few others here are fairly close as well so let us know when you're in town.
As for Halcyon, it is in an odd place and the sign is high up on the building. It's fun to fondle the yarn but since I don't knit or crechet I am reasonably safe in there. My Gram knits soakers for me and I have only bought wool for her and a few fibers and needles for felting. It's awesome though.

Well, 2 is a challenge to say the least! My odds and ends shop has closed so I had to buy everything I could while I was there last week - barely enough room for the kids to fit in on the way home!
When I figure out the next visit to Maine I will let you know. My family life is in an uproar with my Poppa in the hospital and my sister getting a divorce on top of me doing an egg donation (and the had to reschedule my appointments which has screwed up my entire summer plans). Other than all of that life is ever so stress free
