Vaginal dryness..your favorite ways to replenish lubrication
This has been a topic for me especially the past couple months and what I read is that flax seed helps the moisture content in our vagina's. I fresh ground seeds and put them in the freezer and sprinkle on my yogurt each night.
Also aloe vera gel seems to cool things down when the dryness causes intense heat.
Comfrey, plantain and cedar salve right now is my favorite at keeping things moist and plumping up the tissues.
I use vitamin e at night to heal the poor tissues after I realized that I needed to eat moistening foods and nourish the tissues again.
It seems to really help.
Just wondering if you all have other ideas...Peace....

The issues are more than olive oil neccesity sadly. Oils actually create more heat for me it seems.
However I have been in the rocky mountains 1 week and have no pelvic problems right now....so maybe the humidity aggravated my issues.
The issues are definately connected to atrophy and menopausal changes in the pelvic region. A great GYN spent alot of time with me on this. I am so grateful I am not a complete freak!
While I'm not in menopause yet, I seem to be heading that way. Dryness was never an issue and I never thought it would be but now.....
I just use KY when needed but am beginning to think that the itchiness that I've been struggling with just might be from the dryness - and I've had many more yeast infections than I ever had recently. I wonder if that's from it all too.
I'll watch this thread to find out my future. Thanks for the ideas, Kristena. I think I'll be needing them!

My Gyn highly recommends NO KY for someof the ingredients in it as well as most over the counter stuff....sure not helpful, but I thought I would throw that out there that maybe these things might trigger more problems in the end
