estrogen therapy

Has anyone used natural estrogen replacement (non-prescription) succesfully?
I had a bad reaction to estrace, Dr prescribed something else, but I never picked up the prescription. I just want to go natural. I've bought some things I hope will work for me, am planning on going in for accupncture - what else?
I'd love to hear what others have done. TIA!

Hi there! Have you done a hormone test to determine if you are indeed in need of estrogen? Dr. John Lee has an online test to take, in case you are in need of a preliminary one to take. Take the Hormone Balance Test

Many times women will find that when they take a natural progesterone cream, their estrogen levels balance out as they need to, though this isn't always the case. Even when a bit of estrogen is needed, I do believe in the advantageous use of black cohosh, inspite of the less than positive reviews by some sectors. I am currently taking Rainbow Light's Menopause formula, which contains black cohosh and am satisfied for now. Hopefully, I will be able to switch back to their prenatal formula sometime soon! Good luck to you.

I do need estrogen. Trying to maintain a bit of privacy (sorry, just feel the need right now) - but anyway, menopause isn't my issue -I just figured I'd find more experience here than in other parts of Amity's

Thanks.

I am reading that sometimes the progesterone is nto the answer like we have all thought.

Here we go again with the yo yo of learning how to live as healthy as possible....lol

A-M, Can you have your hormone levels checked by your doctor and than google a compunding pharmacy near you for the script?
They can create the hormones you need EXACTLY I understand.

I am not on hormones so I dont know, but check in once inawhile. I am in the beginning of reading Susun Weeds New menopause book and am learning interesting things and I will post things we can discuss about hormones.
