Is this where I would post a formula question?

I was planning on having plenty of time to call the doctor and ask, but we got notice that we have to be in China on Tuesday to meet Evie!

She is 20 months and has an unrepaired cleft palate. She is still drinking from a bottle. Our doctor would like us to keep her on at least 1-2 bottles a day after we get her home for up to 6 months, maybe more.

I know the formula in China isn't ideal, and I'm wondering what to switch her to here at home. I don't want to use Nestle, and I'm not crazy about soy (links to premature puberty with adopted Chinese girls). I'm also concerned about lactose intolerance. Picky enough for you?

I have some of the Isomil lipil single serve packets to take with us, mostly for convenience. She will most likely stay on her Chinese formula while we are there.

TIA!

You could try nutramigin/alimentum if lactose is truly a problem and you don't want to do soy. Otherwise, I'm not much help. Good luck!
