wasn't sure i'd like it, (2007 film) but i completely & totally did. not a huge hillary swank fan really, but she was good ~ it was a different part for her, not as intenese as her usual roles. it was LOVELY! lisa kudrow & gina gershon are her 2 best friends & they are funny. i am going to watch it today again i think... lol ~ some sad parts, but the whole film was truly enjoyable! gerard butler, jeffery dean butler, and harry connick jr. ~ are all completely swoonalicious! jeffery dean butler has an irish accent in this film & well....... just see it

i actually may buy it ~ lol.

soundtrack was good as well ( imo ofcourse...lol)

I hate sad/dying movies, and so not a fan of Hilary Swank, but I'll try it just because you said swoonalicious.

Oh, and that the music is good.

funny. I usually love tearjerker type movies and I didn't enjoy this one. I actually turned it off without watching the end. It just totally lost me with the casual sex while in mourning thing.

i didn't get an icky feeling about that at all.... and i knew he ( might lol) end up being more to her than just a one night stand... too bad you didn't watch the end. i think she was honest, nervous, etc.. during that encounter & it showed that she felt a need to connect w/ someone on that level.

i bought the soudntrack on itunes & it's WONDERFUL!!!

I watched it last night and I did enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Hillary's but she is good in this role. I cried like a baby. It's a very sad movie if you put yourself in her shoes.

maybe she'll do more romatic comedies ~ she did quite well imo.

i love the " i'm crazy, and i don't mean cool like pulp fiction crazy" line

Dh and I watched this a couple of nights ago. I thought it was very sweet and I cried cried.

I thought it was really sweet how he helped her through the grieving process. Probably unrealistic....Most people aren't that thoughtful in life, let alone in dying. But, enough to make me cry thinking someone might! LOL

I do want to watch it again.....without dh.....for a good ole needed cry!! LOL
