Laurel Canyon...review of DVD
This is a really well crafted movie.
The characters are compelling. They are a bit difficult to watch since you don't know much about them and you learn more as they develop thru the film.
Frances Dormand.......awesome. Everyone else was right on their marks too.
It has a highly sexual content and some brief nudity but most is left up to the imagination. Again an important factor in the film since one main approach of it seems to be you trying to guess what happened. There is some dope smoking too (there are musicians and record producers you know!)
The settings are amazing. Shots of the Laurel Canyon area in L.A.
The commentary by the director is very informative and I am planning on watching the movie again since seeing it.
Good movie for someone who likes a unique perspective on life and how people make choices.
