What can I sew for you to help me raise money for our hopefully upcoming trip?
Looking to come up with at least 1/3 of our money for the trip we are considering by sewing and selling fabric.
Some things I can make are:
matching pj pants for the whole family (I have a slew of holiday prints)
fabric gift bags
Long or short sleeved T-shirt style nighties
Kids aprons and chef's hats
re-usable cloth lunch baggies
napkins
Door hanging tooth fairy pillows
Pillow cases
I have an embroidery machine so I can do simple personalizing as well.
All items come from my pet and smoke free home studio.
Prices will vary depending on fabric, size, and item. Please let me know if you are interested.
Few pics of some fabrics I have on hand. I also have Marine digi camo in a heavier weight, a bunch of solids, and a dark blue tiny plaid that are on bolts. I have a lot more holiday prints but pulled the ones I knew I could get at least 2 pair of kids pants from. If you want to request a fabric for pj pants, please pick a couple different ones in case the one you want is not large enough for your needs.
Could you do aprons that tie around the waist (vs the neck) with lots of pockets? And, if you could, how much would you charge- I'd need one for an 8yo, 5yo, and 2.5yo.

The aprons I make actually have a snap that gets snapped on the top front of the apron so it is easy on easy off with no tieing around the neck. They do tie in the back around the waist though. When you say a lot of pockets, do you mean like a row of 3ish pockets along the bottom?

hmmm, well, i guess i'm not exactly sure what i'm thinking of. i'm thinking of aprons for them to wear on our walks so they can pick up and carry treasures, or maybe bring along a little pad and pencil, something like that.
I don't need anything sewn, but wanted to state that you've made things for my family in the past and they were impeccably sewn. In fact, Sunday we changed bedclothes and used pillowcases you made my kids five years ago.

Gotcha, you mean like the treasure hunt aprons I make. I can post a pic in a minute.

Here is an adult form of my clothespin/ treasure hunt apron. For kids I put a dividing stitch down the middle to make two pockets. Would something like this work for your needs? I have made and sold a couple dozen of these for people (adults and kids alike) to use on nature walks.

Another rave for your sewing here! I have an apron, a few cloth baggies and 2 years ago you sewed my son some pj/lounge pants. Actually - he's STILL wearing them! They still fit his waist, but they're getting short in the length. He sleeps in nothing else and they've held up great.
I need a new pair for him - he's a slim 10/12 and loves purple/goth.

Nic, paying when you get back is fine as long as you can commit to the order. I need to know sizes for your kiddos so that I can get an idea of materials and give you a cost.
