ISO personal opinions of MOBY WRAP?

I am looking for a good infant carrier for Rebecca. She is definately a 'carry me lots please' baby who does not appreciate laying down.

I have a maya wrap but for whatever reason she isn't really fittig it well. Looking at a Moby Wrap (chocolate or something like that) for her. Anyone BTDT and have input?

Looking for a great new baby carrier for around the house, going to the store, etc etc....

Thoughts?

Andrea

I havent tried a moby wrap but also would like to know how they are. I have 2 different wraps and dont like neither one of them but I dont know what kind they are. My 2 month old is just like yours Andrea. He screams anytime I try and put him down.

If she is sleeping she will let me lay her down but if she is awake she has a 2 minute limit for being out of arms. This is kind of silly for me when I am at home tring to get things done kwim?

I can't quite figure out how to get things done with her right now for that very reason. LOL

Ann, what kind of purple are we talking about? Dark or lilac? (Rob has to be able to wear it too LOL)

I am ok w/ it taking a bit longer to get on, is it easy to learn?

I loved the Moby when Caroline was itsy bitsy. Its stretchy so once she was 10-12 lbs she was too heavy IMO. It sagged too much and needed to be adjusted too often. How big is Miss Rebecca now, Andrea?

She is 21 inches long and 7lbs 7oz right now. She is still very petite and tiny.

If you plan to carry her for long periods of time (like over an hour at a time) I would get one. They aren't easy (like a sling) to get on & off, BUT they are much more comfy (for you AND her) than a sling.

HTH

Pssst, we need new pics of her

I should mention too that she is growing but she is still pretty tiny and only 27 days old. She is very much a cuddly to your chest type baby and I can't do that w/ the maya wrap/ ring sling. She is also very squirmy and needs to have her hands 'up' by her head. She doesn't appreciate having her hands down at all.

Tiffany how long do you think it takes to get it on? Is it easy to learn??

New pics coming later today. Need Rob's laptop to upload. She is gorgeous though. Such a lovely creature. She has a bit of a sniffle in her nose thanks to her brother and so last night was a bit of a challenge nursing. Forgot how that goes.

So right now we are at the tail end of the 3 week growth spurt, start of a cold and mommy is TIRED. LOL

I loved the moby for the first 6, 7? months? then went to the ellaroo wrap as it is not as stretchy/saggy and the weave pattern of it breathes more in summer months.

it was easy to learn and just so enjoyable. i ache (pleasantly) remembering those days. kissing the top of her little head nuzzled up to me.... get one. asap.

It took some practicing at home. Really just to learn how much to leave on each side of you to get an even knot, KWIM? It took me a few tries at home, but within an hour or so I had it down pat

I hope Miss Rebecca feels better soon!!!

I love, love, love, love, love my MOBY wrap. Emma does too. At almost 10 months I'm still wearing her in it. Did I tell you I LOVE it? LOL! Once you figure out how to tie it, it doesn't take long at all. I'm actually considering making them for my doula clients and/or childbirth ed students. I think EVERY new mom should have one. Enjoy wearing your baby Andrea!
