Help name my baby?

I know we still have time- I'm fully expecting to go (at least) 41 weeks, and I'm only just 36 weeks- but still I am stressing that we don't have a name yet for this baby.

We had narrowed it down to Sophia and Charlotte, with everybody else pretty much voting for Sophia and me voting for Charlotte. I really love both of those names, but I wasn't 100% convinced that Sophia (Sophie) was the right name for this baby. I totally adore Charlotte, but (I posted a thread about this earlier) we live basically in Charlotte and I feel a little bit weird about that.

So, today I got online and found the SS most popular name list for 2008. Sophia was number 7, I think. That didn't bother me too much b/c it always seems to vary so much based on region. But then I was talking about it with another mom who works at the YMCA child watch and she said there are tons of baby Sophia's right now. Sigh.

Another name I really like is Harper, which is a variation of my mother's maiden name, but dh thinks it's too snooty sounding, or something.

I also really like Beatrice or Beatrix, but dh vetoed both of those early on.

I love the nicknames Rosie and Annie too, so those are possibilities.

Help? Please!

I love Harper, but it is getting way trendy right now.

Charlotte reminds me of Good Charlotte.

I'm no help. The kids asked me the other day if I had another baby what I would name it and I really could not come up with anything.

I love Charlotte, but I understand the hesitation because of where you live. I'm not sure Harper is super trendy yet, and I like the family name connection. I really like it, too.

I know four baby sophie/sophias. I like charlotte personally.

I would totally go for Harper though. Even if it gets popular, it will peak really fast and fizzle out. Sophia has more staying power IMO.

I was a wee bit obsessed with choosing unique, but not too unique names for my kiddos.

I love love love Caroline. I love Harper, too, though.

How about Caroline Harper or vice versa?

I love Charlotte. I agree that Sophie/Sophia is huge now & personally, I'd probably hesitate based on that but that's just my taste on picking names.

I really like Harper & Beatrice, too. My cousin's dd has Beatrix as a middle name & they have called her "first name - Bea" in the past, like Sophie Bea.

Ooh, I have an Aunt Bea that nobody loves and wouldn't name my baby that for all the tea in China!

But I love Harper...so cute!

And Charlotte is also very cute.

I only know of one Sophia, and she's adorable. Oops, I know of TWO Sophias and THEY are both adorable...guess that is a popular name right now!

Maybe you ought to wait and meet her first and see who she looks like, let her tell you who she is!

Thanks yall! Off to discuss with dh. I forgot to mention earlier that her middle name will be Eva (pronounced eh-va, not ee-va) after my mother's mom.
