So explain to someone who is not so crafty, I suppose: What is all this prepped for? What are penny rugs? How do you hook with fabric? (I thought it was with yarn??) Some of those pieces look lovely, but I would love to know what you had in mind for it so I can figure out what I could maybe do with it. Thanks.

I'll do some quick links to give you ideas on what you could do with this stuff - there is defiently some beautiful pieces and there is a lot of cream/natural that is ready to dye anyway you want too

penny rug ideas:
Penny Rugs - How to make these great gifts for pennies! | A Storybook Life
Early Style Penny Rugs

heres a site offers ideas, supplies ect: ( it is best to shop around for deals, ebay was my friend when I started gathering things up ) you can buy burlap and monks cloth at local craft stores or even walmart and michaels has supplies too! and you could use coupons in that store

The Woolen Needle Hand-Dyed Wool Rug Hooking Penny Rugs Quilting

heres a good collection of ideas, you can use the wool to make small stuffed items, stockings, lots of different things you can do and have fun with this wool
Large Penny Rug Collection

Penny Rugs - Winterberry Cabin, Hand-dyed Felted Rug Hooking Wool, Wool Applique, Penny Rug Patterns & Kits

rug hooking - you can buy a stripper that cuts the wool down to skinny strips to hook OR you can buy precut strips on ebay fairly cheap, or take your time and cut out strips lol

heres some ideas - you truly can get as creative as you want ... here are some brooches/pins I made :

another site offers ideas, patterns ect... it is so easy to just buy your own hooking material ( monk, burlap ) and take a sharpie marker and draw it on yourself! lot cheaper
Hooked Rug Kits

tools on this site are really a good price : need a hook, I always wanted a lap frame but never got around to getting one ( I just used an embrodiery hoop to keep things tight and moved it along as I hooked ) I had that cutting machine they have posted on there and it was wonderful! you can sometimes find them around $75 on ebay with extra blades to cut different sized strips - turn the handle and you have 6-8 wool strips instantly!

Rug Hooking

I love hit n miss styles - no fuss, use up scraps and heres an example - wouldn't take long to make, small project quick satisfaction ... and you wouldn't be paying $50
Handmade Needlecraft on Etsy - Primitive FolKart Hooked Rug Art Mixed Media Crafts Fiber Art Wool by Primitivesforsale[]=tags&includes[]=title

actually just go to etsy.com and type in : rug hooking , penny rug and you will find a ton of ideas and inspiration!

LMK if you have any other questions, hope I helped answer some of your questions
