So McCains VP choice..

thoughts? I'm happy he chose a woman.. I think that was a very smart political move by him.. still not sure he has a shot though.. I mean I know the Catholics/Christians have a huge following in politics, but I think the Obama love is too strong.. I'll be interested in seeing what happens come November.

I really like Obama's speech last night. We're planning to go to the McCain rally on Sunday. Not sure yet who I'm voting for.

I am a practicing Catholic and I don't want McCain! (Nor Obama).

Me too. I hate to say that because we are pretty conservative Catholics (well most of my family is). I don't like McCain either. I was happy to see his choice as VP.. though I don't think I've ever seen her smile I'm going to have to learn more about her.

Obama seems like a good person at heart.. I'm not fond of his voting practices, so i guess we'll see.

I have no idea who I am voting for I would really like for all the games so to speak to get done and for them talk in detail about what they plan on doing and what they hope to accomplish for the U.S.
I was shocked McCain picked someone with so little background tho.

I found this opinion on Obama interesting:
Home On the Range: SHARING THE PIE - NOT WHAT OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON

On another message board I'm on, McCain is way out in front. The Obama love isn't universal.

I guess I'm not in too many conservative circles. I tend to run around with so many liberals! Which is very strange, because I'm pretty conservative.

i just read that blog you linked and am horrified at the selfish opinions of some...

yeah, human nature makes me a little envious that i pay taxes and work hard to pay my own bills and buy my own groceries while lady down the street has 3 diff baby daddy's and i'm paying for her daycare and formula. so what?

my raisin' and the bible tell me i'm to give...wholeheartedly. the poor woman in the bible that gave it all away was surely blessed...what an example...to work hard, make a little, but give it all away...

if you're looking at Obama's platform from the aspect of "i ain't sharin' my pie" (like he's saying to) , then it's a sad world we live in.

Because I live in America, the Home of the Free, I'd like to choose with whom I share my pie. I don't want the government to tell me I have to pay to support people whose choices I don't want to support.

I don't know much about her. But, something bothered me. McCain kept spouting on her being a devoted mother, yet she looked to have a very young baby like just a few months old. I could be wrong. But, how devoted can you be to a 6 mo old if you are running for vp?

Amen to that! The gov can get their hands out of my pie. I will choose who/how/when/what to give and not be forced. What kind of real giving is that?

she does have a young baby with downs syndrome. I've read a few places she went back to work 3 days after he was born
