DD is loving audiobooks. Ideas for where to get more?
She got a Wendy's kids meal after her Saturday soccer game as part of her "date" with daddy and is gaga over the Magic Treehouse audiobook that came as the toy. Any ideas for finding audiobooks suitable for a 4/5 year old?
I'm a library dropout (I love going there but have always been terrible about bringing things back and rack up nasty fines) so I'm looking to buy cheaply, download them to my ipod, or find them online for free. Want to help me look?
We frequent the library and they changed things here. If your child has their own library card and checks out things in the children's library, there are no late fees.

I believe our library has where you can download them, maybe your library does this, so you don't have to worry about returning?
eta: this is where our library has them to check out online, don't know what you have to do to get privledges at our library, but I'm sure it says somewhere... St. Charles City-County Library

Found more info: It's $80/yr for a non-resident, and they do have the magic treeshouse audiobooks. There is actually a lot of stuff they offer online so it may be worth it, I don't know. (virtual books, reference/encyclopedias, etc)

Oh cool. It looks like my library has a free online eaudiobook thing. We just need to go into the library to register. Guess I'll have to give it a whirl.
Thanks for the other link Logan. She loves Hans Chistian Anderson and they have quite a few of those available.

I have to concur with librovox. We get lots there. It aggravates Samantha that every chapter starts with a blurb about librovox but, hey, they are free. Also, I have read many for them.

I've got a list on the other computer that I'll post here in a bit if nobody else posts them first.
Editing to add that my kids LOVE Robert Munsch, and most of his stories are available for free download through his website at The Official Robert Munsch Website

I love that link. I found the link to one of my mom's old German readers on there. Shockheaded Peter: http://storynory.com/shockheadedpeter.html; "Charming" stories LOL. She used to tell me the thumb-sucker one as a child.
