Those are really cool. I've seen a couple of the ones with the cargo bins on the front here. England is no where near as bike friendly as much of Europe, in particular the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden (It was the coolest thing in Amsterdam last summer to see how *everyone* rides a bike. Cars are the exception and bikes the norm.) but even so they are much more prevalent than in most places in the US. We came from an area that is very bike friendly (Portland) so it wasn't that big of a difference to us, but for those from other areas it is.
When we first moved here we didn't have a car for 8 months - a family of 5. We did most of our grocery shopping and such using a burley trailer. Dh would bike Anja to school 4 miles each way in the trailer every day, even in the rain when we moved from town to the village before she transfered the next year into the village school. They don't do school busses here so most kids either bike, walk or scooter to school. Anja complains when Axel is in a rush to get to the farm after he drops her off and needs to take the car. She would much rather ride her bike or scooter. The car is so uncool. lol.
