The sad thing is, it's spent - but I still can't stand the anticipation of just waiting for it. It's like Christmas Eve, knowing what is under the tree already

But, with so many not getting it yet................I will believe it when I see it in the account!!!

According to a post I just read on MD this is not the case. Some one spoke with someone at the IRS and from what I understand not everyone in the first batch would get theirs today, some would get it today, some tomorrow and so on till everyone in the first batch had it by friday May 2. No mention of everyone having it by May 2

This is what I saw on yahoo today.

"The IRS aims to make 800,000 payments every day for the first three days of this week. No deposits will be made Thursday, and about 5 million on Friday."

Rebates start landing in bank accounts: How will we spend?: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance

ETA: That seems like an awful lot of people if it was only the first group of numbers.

I can't wait til Friday! I love that its coming a week early that way I can make a payment before my one cc payment is due. Though .... I'm going back and forth though about how to pay the debt lol If I wanna split it (500/1000) between 2 debts or completely knock out this one all together. Decisions. lol

according to the IRS.gov website *today*, first round completed by may 2. second round completed by may 9, third round completed by may 16.

details here: Stimulus Payment Schedule for Tax Returns Processed by April 15

(too much speculation going around...lots of misinformation, caused in large part by the change in schedule by the IRS. just go to the source to find out when to expect the money, if you qualify.)

Not really-- 800,000 x 3 is 2.4 million. +5 million more is 7.4 million. Considering the population of the US is 300 million or so... I'd say they're going for the first set of numbers this week.

Those are the same figures they have had up for weeks. I figure it will be there when it is there.

Nuttin here. Durn it. It's just household budget money, but still. I'm a little antsy about it until I see it in the account.

Doesn't sound like they're moving it ahead too much then, does it? Bah!

they were not very clear about it when they first said it would be a week early huh? It was all over the news that you would be getting your rebate a week early, now we find out it is only *some* people who will get it early.
