Parners listed in post #26!!! :) Valentines Day tea basket swap

Inspired by Aileens wonderful tea basket swaps I would like to start one with a Valentine theme.

For this swap one would send:

* a box of tea, some nice coffee, hot cocoa, etc - specify your preferences

* a treat to have with tea

* a little gift - maybe a candle, bath salts or ?

* something to read

basket optional - a nice touch, but not necessary. Valentine themed this time around!

Sign ups til Friday, send choices by Saturday night. I will have partners posted by Sunday evening. All boxes must arrive to your swap partner by February 10!!!

swap rules are the usual - member for 6 months, feedback here @ Amitys, no neg unresolved feedback, etc - I'll steal someone else's rules on this & c & P them here in a bit LOL

Any takers? I love these swaps!

I'm game. The last time I did a swap like this, I never received anything and I'm up for trying again. I need pampered!

ETA: I'm in love with mint teas and green teas. I'm trying to branch out of that a bit. I'm a coffee-aholic and since I'm trying to cut my preference to syrupy dessert drinks, I'm really enjoying flavored coffees with just milk right now. On the reading front, my favorites are biographies and memoirs. I'm branching out into fiction a bit with a new book club I joined so I've not read much of the popular fiction out there. Please don't go buy me a book...I'd love to read something off your shelf that you are ready to pass on.

I have always wanted to participate; however, my health issues keeps me from doing so. I don't think anyone would want to have to only pick from decaff or sugar free items. If someone would be interested in doing so, I would like to participate.

I'd love to play.

I love both tea and coffees. (Cocoa too, but I'm trying to stay away from processed sugar, flour, and dairy right now ) Green, oolong, rooibos, herbal, chai, it doesn't matter I just love tea. (prefer loose leaf but I'm not that picky really) I'm coffee illiterate (dh is in charge of that ,) but I like what I've had.

I am a bibliophile so anything to read is a treat. I like history, poetry and non-fiction especially, but have a weakness for SF and bad vampire novels to read in the tub I'm changing our eating habits and shifting to more vegetarian so stuff on meal planning would be cool. Oh, uh, I guess you could call me crafty too. I like crocheting and knitting magazines, but don't scrapbook.

Used is fine, I ADORE handmade anything.

Oh, and I'm on a felting kick right now, so if people that are Vegan or have other issues with wool (I'm either using local grown from sheep I've met personally, seen sheared, and processed myself or stuff hand dyed with natural dyes by Trisha of Colors of Nature right now if that helps) if you'd let me know I can not send you something woolly

cool beans!!

I love the Swiss International SF Chai Latte and there is one other flavor. Name escapes me now as I just ran out last week. I only know it by the packaging....

I love any fiction writings but really want to get into the pioneer type settings.

I can't take baths per se, but I do love shower gels or home made soap (patchouli breaks me out jic).

So anything that is decaff and SF and I am good to go!

I can't wait to put my partner's package together....

Thanks so much!

I'm in, of course... :o)

My preferences~

Teas- I would LOVE something vanilla like vanilla chai or Good Earth Original or some HAND BLENDED loose herbal teas too.. )
Hot Chocolates- I LOVE Stephens (Walmart) Mint Truffle or other gourmet hot chocs.
I don't drink coffee.

Treats- The only things I don't like are coconut, anise/licorice. I love shortbread, biscotti, tartlets, milk chocolate etc... Homemade is fine. I love raw honey, fruit curds, devonshire cream, clotted creams etc...

Gift- I'm open, just need natural ingrediants like 100% beeswax candle or all natural bath items etc... I don't like earthy and floral scents. I'm a herbal or food scent type. I LOVE vanilla. )

Books/mags- I'm an old fashioned, natural, Christian hippie type person. LOL So anything along those lines or waldorfy, homeschooling etc... I love heirloom crafts etc...

Aileen

I'm in. I prefer herbal tea.
I love junk food but cannot eat chocolate (white chocolate I can eat). Homemade goodies are fine!
As far as reading material, I'd prefer a magazine. Something like family circle, woman's day, scrapbooking.

I'm in

Tea is my preferance here. I enjoy mint teas, herbal tea, Stash teas include reg or decaf...irish breakfast black, chamomile, peppermint. Would love to try the Good Earth Tea possibly a variety pack. I also enjoy loose tea too...just would like if it is in original packaging.

Treat to have with the tea...scones, biscotti, shortbread, devonshire cream (is this mailable oh please let it be so lol!?), homemade or yummy jam...I am sure whatever you send will be yummy!

Gift ideas...oh man would I love to try local to you honey, raw/unprocessed is fine too...and I put it in my tea If you were sending a candle, beeswax or soy natural preferred. And Hastings...I have noooo issues with wool by the way I need to pm you about wool from Karakul sheep.

Book/Magazine/Reading material...I'd enjoy something on gardening/herbs/the last book in the series of unfortunate events if your child or you is done w/it, christian womans daily devotional, something on healthy eating/menus, maybe back issue(s) of mothering magazine (I've never seen any), any amish/mennonite type fiction book.

This should be fun!

I'm in too!
I'm loving loose herbal teas lately, especially fruit tisanes. I really like mint teas too. I would like to try the new Lipton pyramid-bag teas. I like flavored coffees with a bit of milk for a treat.
I'm doing slim4life, with a very limited allowed food list, so I'd prefer a tea cup, coffee mug, or other pretty thing for my treat.
I love to read - I like a good sappy romance or a mystery with a female main character. Like someone above mentioned - don't buy new, something you've enjoyed and are ready to pass on would be great.
My latest obsession is sewing/quilting.

I'm in!! I've been hearing about Rooibus but haven't tried it and would love to. I'm a coffee-aholic and a chocoholic so any mix of the two makes me happy. I'd really love to find a more natural coffee-flavoring (I use International Delight right now).

I love to read and have a wish list at paperbackswap - (but like a PP said, don't buy new ) PaperBackSwap.com - Other books by this member

NO PEANUT PRODUCTS - DS IS DEATHLY ALLERGIC Thanks!

Hey I'm in! Let me know where to ship it, this is so cool! Never done a swap before but my sister does them all the time!

I like fruit tea and chocolate coffee LOL I am preggo but do not need any preggo teas cause my midwife makes her own. I like muffins and chocolate and did I mention chocolate? I only have one paperback book, and I just read it. I could use another. I like inspiring, eye-opening type stories, though I'd LOVE a copy of Chicken Soup for the Pregnant Soul or the Mother's soul. I'm a natural hippie chick, so keep the toxin content low LOL I love Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Rosewood.

I am so excited!

I'll play! I'll admit I'm more excited about coming up with a "basket" than receiving one. I'd love to have a partner who wouldn't mind a hand-blended herbal tea (or an unopened flavored black or green tea), perhaps a hand crafted body care item or crocheted dish cloth, a beeswax candle, and a passed along book or magazine. I'm a Compacter, so I can't really buy anything to send, but would consider the food treat a grocery item and would fit that in, or could send to someone who doesn't want food and wouldn't mind a coffee/tea mug from a thrift store (boiled to sterilize, of course).

I'm a tea drinker, or more specifically a tissane/infusion drinker as it must be herbal. Cocoa is too difficult with food allergies, and I don't drink coffee.

If someone sends a food treat it needs to be vegan and gluten free (and nut free). It sounds like a tough order to fill but a lot of dark chocolate fits the bill (at least the HFS brands do), as do some hard candies. Vegan/GF soft mints are yummy too. I love candied ginger. Local raw honey was an awesome suggestion by another poster.

I read a lot of non-fiction and literary fiction, nothing religious and not romance or mystery novels. Nothing new please! Pass on a book or magazine that you've finished with.

Candles should be soy or beeswax, no parrafin please, and preferably without synthetic fragrances.
