I have participated in a Christmas card swap before and have seen similar at other boards...thought I would see if anyone here would like to join in!
What it is:
We send Christmas/Holiday cards to each other...you can send whatever kind you would like-for how your family celebrates the holidays. They can be store bought, homemade, picture cards, whatever you would like to do. It was fun and the kids had a great time opening cards and hanging them up. We use them as part of our decorating around the door frames. Then after the holidays are over we take them down and recycle them into gift tags to be reused...although there are always some that we just can't bear to cut and keep
How to:
If you would like to join, just post here saying that you would like to participate, and then PM me your name/mailing address/amity user name. I will collect names/address' until November 27th.
By November 29th I will have a master list of names/addy's/amity user names and will pm the list to everyone that wanted to participate.
Then you will try to mail your cards to everyone on the list by December 19/20th...earlier if we have anyone from Canada or overseas participating. Then you will sit back and enjoy as you begin to receive cards!

Id like to join in, we hardly get any cards as everyones overseas.
How many do you send out? as we are short on $ as usual.
Kinda of in the same boat as you $ wise. We are hand delivering or putting in mailboxes at church to save on $ this year as we noticed more people are going that way in our family/church family&friends.
But...It depends on how many people join. Sometimes it can get to be 20-30 or more...or we could set a minimum amount of cards each person must send out or do two mailing groups...that way if some wanted to send to all they could do both lists (if that makes sense!).
Any thoughts leaning one way or the other? I don't want anyone to not join because they can't send to a large group of people.
I'd like to Join! This is great cuz my daughter loves mail :-)
I don't mind if there are two lists or more of 10 each, or something. When ever the cut off date is you can see how to divide the groups then. :-)

And see what I've been up to at:
I think groups of 10 would be ok, I guess its best to see how many sign up and divide it up as near as possible.
I couldnt afford to send overseas though, as we will be sending to family there already (We send, just never get them back!)
I would LOVE to join!! I look forward to getting holiday cards in the mail all year.

THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers...He may look pissed, but he thanks you too!!!!!!!!!
Humble, trusting prayer brings direction and peace. Don't worry about clumsily expressed feelings. Just talk to your compassionate, understanding Father. You are his precious child whom He loves perfectly and wants to help. -Richard G. Scott
