Taya just did a book swap at school for new summer reading. And of course she wants more of them. She loves to read. So I thought it would be fun to do here.
Please post reading level and what themes you do NOT want to recieve.
Taya is 8 yrs old and is at a 3-4th grade reading level (8-11 yr books)
Please no gender role books, violence, one sided religous books or anything relating to the likes of Barbie, Brats, and such.
She really loved Junie B Jones, Animals, Crystals, Magical themes, Religon/Spirituality as a learning tool..but not as a dictating one truth type of read ykwim?, Pixies, Science...just about anything fluffy lol. She also likes the real life books about the body and growing up.

G is 6and E is 4 and reading beginner readers (easy phonics based). We love animal books even magazines (zoobooks and backyard ??), anything dinosaur related, even some easy Spanish books since we are wanting to learn Spanish. We are Christian so any mainstream religious themes are ok. Also boxcar children, magic tree house, or the sports one - Matt something.
J is 2 and loves animal board books, transportation themes, dinosaurs and outdoor things (farms and such).

Robin wife to one awesome guy for 18 years,
mama to four beautiful boys
We just cleaned off our bookshelf and I have books to send! This is a great idea!
Madeline is 6 - just finishing 1st grade. She's finally beginning to read simple readers (level 1) and easy phonics based books.
Victoria is 3 and loves any kind of books. She's into Dora, princesses, animals, firefighters, bugs, pretty much anything.
We have an extensive collection of "little critter" and "Berenstain bears" books - we love PBS kids programming. Ooh - any "My First Discovery" books too!
We prefer no violence, no Barbies, bratz, etc.
(Does anyone like the "Captain Underpants" books - I picked up a few at a garage sale, but they are too advanced for my girls.)

Books about fairys, elves, forests, rainbow brite, horses....Also a math book to do over the summer (1st grade level) would all be great

Can we extend the deadline on this? I am still interested, I just don't know if I will get a chance to go through our books before Monday and I would love for some more people to join.
Of course we can extend the deadline. How about I close Tuesday. And we Mail out by Mon 19th. That will give more a chance to join and us all a chance to organize our books.
Instead of value a minimum of books.
A minimum of 3 books (On your 3 books PLEASE only send in EC, no missing pages, rips, or more than small marks) IF you send more than 3 please be sure those are in reading condition)
I hope this gives you a better idea of what I had in mind for us. I know with Media mail we can make this very fun and a great swap without a lot of cost.

Per kiddo if possible at all. That is why I tried to pair up those with similar amounts of weeones, with varying ages that would make it easier to come up with some fun things to read. I also considered what everyone put in the (I have and I want parts of their posts) and tried to keep that in mind for what variety or reading/age levels thay could accomidate.
Have a beautiful weekend!! And Lots of Fun mama's!!

So is mason getting 3 and chloe getting 3.....or 3 books to share.....or one get 2 and one gets 1?
either way is ok w/ me, I just want to make sure I do it right.
mine will be going to the post office today I just need to address and seal up the box. I hope she enjoys reading them.
I know she will love anything she recieves.
We sent for everyone (you too probably lol) but def from Jeremy all the way to Clara. I hope everyone finds something in their they enjoy. I realized though after I sealed upt he box ..I never asked what books you would not be comfy with. So pelase if something offends give them to a charity or something with my apologies. I did not put any converting style or 'preaching' type of books, but I do know there are some spiritual themed ones (not religous themed) and one that explains the differences and similarities in world views/religious views on reincarnation. I hope you are not offended..if so it would have been a total honest mistake.
Happiest Thoughts!!
