Oooh, I should clarifiy cause what I wrote read wrong. We will be moving out of WV by next summer, but I don't know when or where to. Just that we will move. Anyhow, GA is the most recent big project so there is a good chance we may go there, but we don't know for sure. A few people from here have already moved down there/will be moved down.

The ONLY hesitation I have is that dh will be working downtown and not sure where we can live (we will be renting for sure) that will be close enough to him but not, um, inner city so to speak (no offense to anyone inner city lol).

ETA... my hesitation getting too excited I should say, we don't really get a choice in where we go so if we go there, we WILL go there.

Eric worked downtown for awhile, and we lived in Duluth. If there's a MARTA stop near his office, riding the train is a great option

Yep. Apartment living can be interesting. Before we purchased our current house we lived in a 1000 sq ft 2br/2br apartment. It was ok when my youngest was first born. But I do not know if I could do it again. But I think my problem may be that we have too much stuff and I should de-clutter. Oh and my children are rowdy and we were on top of each other. But I do think if we were to buy another house we would go a bit smaller because I just hate to clean all of our house. Which quite honestly I rarely do at one time because I run out of energy.

Right now, I'm in my sister's <700 sq ft house that's totally decluttered in preparation for sale. It's amazing how big a house feels with nothing in it!

Our last house was just under 900 sq feet and it was too small. Just TOO small. This house is 1450 square feet with 400 additional in the basement. It is perfect. I really don't think I could handle too much under 1500 sq feet.

so great to hear that you like your space, xt! sounds like a big apartment, but still only 2 bedrooms and 5 of you could have its challenges. it's so great to hear that it's working for all of you and making you happy.

we're still planning to sell this house and rent something small/cheap for a while. i am always looking for small apt/house encouragement!

I think a big key is the simplicity of the stuff. Last year when we got ready to sell our 1200sf house, we purged and then rented a POD and stashed every single thing we thought we could live without for a few months while the house sold. As soon as all that stuff was out of the home, it instantly felt better. If space had been our only reason for moving, I might have seriously reconsidered!

We have a lot more space here and it does frequently feel too big, but the layout and spaces available fit our family lifestyle well. As long as I am careful about bringing stuff into it (which I have been), I think we'll be fine.

We're another family of 5 in a 2 bedroom apt. It's a good sized apt (the kitchen is huge, a definate plus), the only thing I need to work on is clutter. I'm trying to get a handle on it since everyone's back at school & work now. But for the most part, it works for us.
