yeah I don't buy fish farmed in China. Only US fish...which is hard to find. Unless I send dh out with his boat. In which case, it's not so cost effective lol.

One thing I did learn while shopping today...

Pay attenetion to the ethnic diversity of the store you're in before yelling to your child, who is 15 ft away getting shredded cheese, "Grab a Mexican!"...meaning the cheese labelled "Mexican". eep!

Uh yeah - or while shopping with your color sensitive child:

"Stay away from the colors," has sprung from my mouth more than once with dirty looks.

They have some good and bad you really have to take the time to look I guess. Which quite honestly I never do because I am never w/o my kiddos. Maybe we could go together sometime. Or rather if you go w/o the kiddos you can do the research and report back.

Ok. I can go tomorrow night when Eric is home. I'll make a price book.

I just got back from TJ's with a VERY slim $50 budget (for us). We scrimped and scrounged and cashed in change after the freezer issue.

I specifically looked at the broccoli for you, Dannielle. They have broccoli florets (it's really awesome, I promise - I'm SUPER picky) for $1.29, conventional. Since I'm pinching pennies, I skipped organic this time around and didn't pay attention to the price difference because I knew I needed at least four bags and had to get the cheapest

2.29 for a huge bag of french green beans (yummy for lunch)

But, my gosh is everything just SOARING in price. Earth balance is up. Avocados are through the roof. Milk is up a dollar. Eek. Just bad, bad, bad economy.

My prob with TJs is that I can't go there w/out stopping by Borders. And I really can't be trusted in Borders lol.

OMG lol. Dh walked by, saw me looking over the aldi receipt from today. Saw the total of $110 and said, "wow! That's a LOT of money!". I laughed and said, "you are soooooo naive".

Clueless is more like it lol.

Kinda irritating actually...as hard as I've been working to get the budget DOWN to that for a week. Sheesh!

Our TJs is next to a book store as well. I usually stop in first and let the kids play on the train table. Thankfully their cafe is nasty. Now if it were a borders I'd be in trouble.
